Three Wires

When the applet has loaded, Start.

Description:

The animation above shows a cross section of three wires carrying unknown currents.

You can:

• double-click anywhere inside the animation to draw a magnetic field line, and
• click-drag the wires to reposition them (however, this will erase any field line that you have drawn).

Question:

Which wires are carrying current out of the plane of the simulation, that is, out of the computer monitor screen? Is it possible to determine this? Explain.
